THE ROLE
The Despatch Coordinator is a Full-time position, based at Yarraville, VIC for our Interior System site. Reporting to the Distribution Centre Manager, you will be responsible for the processing of despatch paperwork at the Yarraville Delivery Centre including stock transfers, deliveries, and customer pick-ups.
Your role will include the following:
- Working closely with a team of Despatch Coordinators.
- Maintaining communication with various stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
- To create shipments for orders requiring cartage to ensure accurate payment to vendors.
- To work within a team that manages the daily operations of the despatch area, ensure people are inducted to the site Safety rules when required and ensure all Safety equipment is used as required.
- Controlling the yard to ensure the turnaround times of trucks are met.
- Provide an exceptionally high level of Customer service both face to face and over the phone.
- Communicating with all stakeholders fostering proactive working culture/high employee morale.
- Identify and drive efficiencies and improvements in the despatch process.
You will be working Monday to Friday (afternoon shift) and overtime when required.
