About the role
The Regional Maintenance Manager VIC plays a critical role in driving maintenance excellence across multiple Melbourne based sites, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Reporting to the RegionalOperations Manager - Exterior Systems, this leadership position is responsible for developing and implementing preventative and predictive maintenance programs, optimizing asset performance, and aligning maintenance activities with production goals.
With a focus on safety, quality, and cost efficiency, the role champions reliability-centred maintenance (RCM) strategies, leveraging data analytics and emerging technologies to enhance operational effectiveness. Managing multidisciplinary teams, the Regional Maintenance Manager fosters a high-performance culture by mentoring, coaching, and instilling best practices in maintenance operations.
You will be the driving force behind leadership excellence & guide site leaders and maintenance teams, ensuring alignment with operational goals, efficiency, and world-class manufacturing standards. Your ability to influence, engage, and lead change will be key to embedding best practices and enhancing team capability.
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in industrial or complex manufacturing environments, with strong expertise in Lean principles, budget management, and stakeholder engagement. They are a transformational leader ready to drive a high-performance culture who will also excel in change management and continuous improvement, proactively identifying opportunities to drive operational excellence. Additionally, they maintain positive relationships with trade unions, procurement teams, and cross-functional partners, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

What you bring to the role
- Qualifications and Experience: Extensive experience working within an industrial/complex manufacturing environment plus relevant tertiary education.
- Results-Driven: A solid track record of implementing continuous improvement initiatives, strong awareness on safety awareness and environmental knowledge.
- Lean & Continuous Improvement: Strong familiarity with Lean principles with a history of driving efficiency and process optimisation across multiple teams.
- Data-Analytics: Strong capabilities with leveraging maintenance management systems (SAP preferred), CMMS data and KPIs to make informed regional decisions.
- Commercial Acumen: Delivers an ideal balance between maintenance budgets and cost-saving opportunities with operational reliability by strategically aligning short-term controls with long-term asset value and performance goals.
- Proven leadership capabilities: Experience in building high-performance teams - recruitment, engagement, development and coaching, feedback and managing performance.
- Stakeholder Management: Proficient in managing relationships with senior leaders, site managers and external vendors to align maintenance with business strategy.
- Change Management: Proficient in influencing cross-site initiatives to adopt advanced maintenance practices and new technologies.
