About the role
The Mechanical Fitter role is a Full-time position, based at Villawood, NSW. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager at our Martini manufacturing site, you will be working on our day shift (Monday to Friday 6am-2pm) assisting with general Mechanical maintenance and breakdown work.
Ideally, the successful applicant will be required to have a manufacturing or Building background, Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate or Boilermaker Certificate or similar, have good attendance and have a strong awareness and regard for health, safety and the environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Champion a safety-first culture within the factory in pursuit of a zero-harm environment ensuring to Never Walk Past.
- Maintaining Operational machines in our Martini manufacturing site.
- Complete planned maintenance tasks.
- Fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs.
- Complete repairs or modifications as requested by your Manager.
- Mechanical Fitting maintenance activities related to blenders, conveyors, gearboxes/drives, Pneumatics, pumps, bearings rollers etc.
- Fabrication-Simple stick and MiG welding
- Machine tools - Occasional use of milling machine, lathe and pedestal drill.
- Maintain safe work & operating practices; and maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
