WHSE Business Partner
About this role
WHSE Business Partner
At CSR, we're building a better future together.
We are a team of 2,600 people across Australia and New Zealand, and we are all collaborating every single day towards a shared purpose - 'Building solutions for a better future'. As a leading Australian Manufacturing business, we're at the forefront of developing innovative, sustainable, and high performing building products and systems.
At CSR, we put people first. We are committed to creating a safe, respectful, supportive, and inclusive working environment that enables everyone to feel valued, grow and truly thrive. We are committed to providing equal opportunity for everyone and welcoming people of all backgrounds, identities, experiences, abilities, and life stage.
Help lead our cultural shift in health, safety and environment – and drive meaningful change where it counts.
At CSR, we're proud to manufacture some of Australia's most trusted building products. Our PGH Bricks & Pavers division is at the heart of that legacy, with sites across NSW and QLD. We're on a journey to significantly uplift our WHSE standards – reducing risk, strengthening culture, and embedding smarter systems.
We're now looking for a WHSE Business Partner to help us do just that across our key NSW manufacturing sites (and 2 x sites in Brisbane, QLD).
About the role

- Delivering proactive WHSE coaching and capability-building across our operational teams
- Supporting critical risk reduction initiatives – particularly around machinery safety, Chain of responsibility & Respirable Crystalline Silica
- Conducting thorough incident investigations and supporting preventative action planning
- Helping implement and embed our onboarding framework to target injury reduction in new hires
- Ensuring alignment with CSR's SH&E Management System and legislative requirements
- Collaborating with line managers, HSRs, and site-based leaders to foster visible safety leadership
About you
You're an engaging and confident communicator who can influence, coach, and lead change – not just enforce policy. You're curious, not judgemental. You listen first, guide with insight, and know how to partner with the business to get outcomes that stick.
You'll ideally bring:
- Proven HSE experience in high-risk environments (manufacturing, logistics preferred)
- Strong experience with machinery safety, risk assessments, and health & hygiene monitoring
- Practical investigation skills and a systems-savvy mindset (we like agile thinkers)
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills – from the floor to the leadership team
- Qualifications in Work Health & Safety (Certificate IV, Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Degree)
- Cert IV in Training & Assessment and/or Return-to-Work Coordination – highly regarded
What's in it for you
We strive to support your professional and personal growth. Here are some of the perks you'll enjoy as part of the CSR team:
- Career growth in a dynamic and supportive team
